ARRA - Music of the Soul

ARRA. I was introduced to this incredible band recently by a close friend of mine. As always, Jodi was trying to get me to forget about work and come out and dance and listen to what she claimed brings "unsuspecting friends together through their music". I had been thinking about it for a long time, always having excuses not to go... for work just always seems to have precedence over a fun night out. It was time. It was long overdue... and the band ARRA was truly penetrating with their sound and vocals. Beyond anything I would have expected, the music touched my soul. ARRA brings people together that come first for the music, and return as friends.

ARRA is a Chicago based rock band covering the music of Journey, Boston, Styx, Rush, Van Halen, Creed, REO Speedwagon, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Foreigner. Although they call themselves a cover band and have performed with some of the greatest bands and artists of all time, including Kansas, Survivor, Dennis DeYoung from Styx and Paul Rodgers from Bad Company - it was not who they have performed for or with that mattered, it was the essence and depth of of their music that touches souls. We all recognize great songs, but this band conveys and energy and a light driven by passion that encompasses living in the now. Every movement, every cord hit, drum beat or vocal sound filtered through the crowd sent  a vibration that touched everyone in their presence.

Jimmy "Blaze",  Rhythm Guitar, Vocals

ARRA, known to be one of the  best and largest drawing Chicago based classic rock band that for over twenty years has performed together to share their talents, having fun while bringing people and families together with the celebration of music. ARRA band members include Kevin Conner, Lead Guitar; Kevin Kreis, Keyboard; Ronnie Platt, Lead Vocalist; Jim "Blaze" Zahrobsky, Rhythm Guitar and Back up vocals; Rob Wiseman, Drums and Steve Latka, Bass. I had the honor to meet the band back stage, and although their seasons include both Clubs and Fests.... it doesn't seem to mater what venue they are playing at, as long as they are heard. ARRA performs all live, with no back up tracks and constantly introduces new music to their events including songs that were written by members of their band. The vocals piercing out from lead singer Ronnie Platt is by far pure and raw. I stood in amazement, as to the harmonies of Kevin Conner with Jim Zahrobsky expresses an undying passion and energy that I will never forget.

Rob Wiseman, Drums

As Plato once said, music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and everything.

Thanks for the flight, ARRA.

Love & Light...
