Most folks go to the auto show with an expectation of looking at new cars, not damaging them.
Not so for three Orland Park men. 21-year-old Bryan Kjellman, 20-year-old Richard Data, and 28-year-old Edmund Grzeszkiewicz were all charged with felony criminal damage to property after they used razor blades and screwdrivers to damage several vehicles at the Toyota stand at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show.
Overall, the men damaged seven Toyotas, racking up $30,000 in damages. Some of the damage included seats being ripped open and dashboards being smashed.
The vandalism was caught on McCormick Place security cameras, which means the trio will have a difficult time proving they didn't do it. The men were arrested around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday and they are expected to have a hearing in Cook County Central Bond Court on Friday.
