Prelude to the Wrigley Restoration

Prelude to the Wrigley Restoration

This is a short one because I'm still bummed that the Cubs lost--you'd think I'd be used to it by now with the rebuild and all.  The Cubs will present their case before the Commission on Chicago Landmarks next Thursday, July 11 at 12:45 PM.  That's just before I head up to Wrigley Field to hang out with Anno for the Cardinals vs. Cubs game.  You can download the agenda here.  Recall that the Cubs have already gotten night games passed, and most of the other items requested were also approved except for the two large outfield signs.  Alderman Tom Tunney has a been a bit annoying through all this, but some muscle from Mayor Rahm Emanuel may still push this through.  Get ready for some fireworks the week after Independence Day.

Also, Kris Bryant still hasn't signed and we're still working out the trade fallout this past week.  Let's see what happens, because most of that could be decided by that Thursday or soon afterwards.
