Dreamcast 18 - Meatball Cub Fans

Show email: worldseriesdreaming@gmail.com

We at World Series Dreaming have a podcast that we do every week called The Dreamcast. We focus on Chicago Cubs baseball and we occasionally have guests on our show. This week we are excited to feature the music of Lath and Plaster and he will be our theme music going forward.

For Dreamcast 18 we discussed the best owner in Chicago Cubs history (spoiler, it wasn't Wrigley), superfans, and any personal superstition we may personally have.

We also discussed the Ramon Ortiz unpleasantness and how much we feel for the guy. After a break we went into draft talk, what we like about each of the top 3 the Cubs were rumored to take, and general draft silliness.

We got into some awful lineup discussion and then we talked about who we expect the Chicago Cubs to trade at the deadline. Nate Schierholtz is almost certainly going to be traded, ditto with David DeJesus but there could be some surprises in there. Is it possible that the Cubs hold on to Matt Garza and perhaps even trade Jeff Samardzija? The scenario seems unlikely but we discuss the options.

We start to wind down and talk about how Kevin Gregg will Gregg out on us eventually and we finish with the worst MLB lineup in 2013 (spoiler - it's totally the current Marlins lineup).

Thanks for listening and a special thanks to Ian Miller for being awesome.

Bye bye
