About

I am a writer, lawyer, and Generation X-er who has worked for such publications as the Wall Street Journal and Kiplinger's. I grew up in southern New England and have lived at various times in San Diego, Washington, D.C., New York, Portland, and Chicago. I currently live in Edgewater where I share my home with one curmudgeonly cat.

As a new blogger to Chicago Now, my blog is a work in progress. If "Seinfeld" was a show about nothing, consider this a blog about nothing. Like that classic program, I hope to offer a slightly off-kilter and irreverent perspective on the things I write about. I guess if my blog has any kind of theme, it's the musings of a Gen X-er - I sometimes feel like we are a forgotten generation. If you like references to all things '80s and '90s, you're probably in the right place. Which is not to say this blog will only be about that.
