Your Thanksgiving Survival Guide

Your Thanksgiving Survival Guide

Stuffing, mash potatoes, pumpkin cheesecake, gravy, green bean casserole, oh my! Luckily for my sister, she hates thanksgiving food. I on the other hand think it's a great idea to stuff my face every year to the point where I can't breathe and I end up laying in my bed with my knees to my chest for days.

Obviously since I love thanksgiving food, I plan on going to town this Thursday but for those of you who don't want to end up like me, here are my thanksgiving survival tips!

Don't go to thanksgiving dinner hungry: this is just a recipe for disaster.

Go skinless: save your calories for something  better.

Hit the gym: there is no reason to not workout on thanksgiving, everything is closed anyways. Most gyms are surprisingly open but if yours is closed then try one of these videos.

Portion control: fill your plate with veggies and lean protein then save a little bit of room for the good stuff ie: stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc. This will allow you to enjoy without going overboard. I recommend a portion the size of your fist.

Wear your skinny jeans: This will motivate you to make smarter choices. Besides when you look good, you feel good.

Most importantly, enjoy yourself. Thanksgiving is once a year so don't stress yourself out if you end up eating an extra portion of mashed potatoes. Oh well... it happens. Just hit the gym extra hard the next day.

Have a fantastic Thanksgiving!
