About Me
2011 will mark my second year writing about the White Sox for ChicagoNow. They picked me up at the beginning of last season on the strength of my work on a shoddy blogger.com site, and because they are desperate, desperate people.
This was initially meant to be a way to merge my post-college comedic writing with the inordinate amount of time I spent watching White Sox games, but slowly the blog has taken on a tone of actual analysis, buttressed with the necessary amount of sabermetrics, with humor tossed in when I can find the room for it.
I can get wordy and long-winded, but overall this is supposed to be a fun read with opinions that I hope seem like they're backed up by, well...something. I work very long and hard on WSO because it's the most fun of any hobby I have ever undertaken, and I hope you enjoy it. If not, I'm very young and this blog is still relatively new; things can always get better.
I'm not the most interactive blogger around, as I kinda fall into the habit of shooting content into space, then flicking off the computer. But when you comment on a post, ChicagoNow sends me an email, I inevitably read it, and there's an overwhelming probability that I respond.
Also, my email: jfegan@alumni.nd.edu. Yes, I'm a domer. Forgive me.
Thank you for visiting, and Go White Sox!
