On Saturday, I had the honor of being the best man at my good buddy Fred Castillo's wedding. I celebrated his marriage and success with a toast inspired by one of my favorite books: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
If you're not familiar with it, the book tells the story of a Andalusian shepherd boy who travels to Egypt because of vision, a dream. On his journey, Santiago discovers that "when we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better, too."
I ended the toast wishing my buddy and his wife Melissa all the good old fashioned things in life. Take a listen to the toast below.
