We are fortunate to live in a state where LGBT couples can apply for and receive a Civil Union license, but there are still many of our brothers and sisters who don't have that right.
I know that Civil Unions are not the same as marriage, but I at least had the chance to go to the County Clerk's office with my partner and request one - and get "civilized" with the man I love.
We are fortunate - unlike these people in North Carolina who were rejected when they went to their County Clerk to request a marriage license.
There is still more work to do! What are you doing about it?
