New York passes marriage equality

Pride Flag
In a 33-29 vote, the New York senate passed the Marriage Equality bill that will allow same-sex marriage.
New York will be the sixth state, and the largest, to allow same-sex couples to marry and receive all the benefits allowed for opposite sex couples and is only the second state to do so via legislative vote.  And it was done on this most special weekend when cities across the country will celebrate the 42nd Anniversary of the Stonewall uprising that was the start of the modern Gay Rights Movement!
CONGRATS TO ALL OF OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN NEW YORK!
The battle is not over - it's just beginning!  Keep on your State Senators and State Representatives and tell them that we deserve same-sex marriage at the FEDERAL LEVEL!
