The Neo-Futurists, known for their long-running late night show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind, invite artists to submit LGBTQ themed visual work of any physical medium for their 2011 Chicago Gay Pride weekend celebration. Accepted work will be displayed in the theatre for audiences to enjoy during the month of June as they rally in alliance with the queer community.

Submission is open to all artists regardless of age, gender, race, or sexual orientation. Artists should take into consideration the Neo-Futurist aesthetic and their personal connections to queer culture no matter what those connections may be. All accepted works are eligible to be sold at a silent auction during Pride weekend, with all proceeds benefiting Illinois Safe Schools: The Alliance (www.illinoissafeschools.org).

Work will be accepted with a completed submission form and fee of $5 during office hours, Monday - Friday from 11 to 5pm at The Neo-Futurarium, located at 5153 N. Ashland Avenue in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago. Art should arrive ready to hang. Deadline for submissions is Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 at 5pm.
