Get out and see the Lighthouses of Edgewater this weekend, you can even ride the trolley!
If you've been anywhere in the Edgewater neighborhood over the past few months, undoubtedly you've seen the more than 20 lighthouses dotting the landscape.
Reminiscent of Cows on Parade that blanketed the city several years ago, the Edgewater Lighthouses were painted by locals and provide a bit of color and excitement to the neighborhood - especially when you see one someplace you're not expecting.
This Sunday, October 24th head to Edgewater and take in the "Lighthouses of Edgewater" Crawl and Music Festival from 1-5PM as they help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Edgewater Community Council.
Between 1-3PM yu can walk to see all of the lighthouses or you can jump on one of the trolleys that will take you to all the sites and provide an on-board docent who will share a wealth of information about the community.
From 3-5PM meet at the Broadway Armory (5917 N Broadway Ave) for a live Blues Concert featuring Chicago's very own 'Little Blues Band' Treats and games will add to the fun - you won't want to miss it!
