Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, is coming to the McCormick Center April 16th to 18th - do you have your super hero costume ready?
C2E2 - short for the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo - is a convention spanning the latest and greatest from the worlds of comics, movies, television, toys, anime, manga and video games.
From a show floor packed with hundreds of exhibitors, to panels and autograph sessions giving fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators, to screening rooms featuring sneak peeks at films and television shows months before they hit either the big or small screen, C2E2 brings the best of popular culture to downtown Chicago!
And it's all right here in your back yard. I missed C2E2 last year but not this time! I've been curious about Comic-Cons that are held annually in New York and San Diego for years but have never had a chance to go.
All sorts of amazing events planned, starting out with the Chicago Premiere of the movie 'Kick-Ass' on Thursday night with actors on site to sign autographs. Friday night will boast a screening of 2 episodes from the newest season of Doctor Who that doesn't officially hit TV until the 17th. There's even a prop auction where you could bid on the actual prop "Arc Reactor" (pictured) from the movie Iron Man. Plus there are lectures, panels, screenings, shopping and who knows what all else!
Tickets are on sale now with day passes for $25 and weekend passes for $50.
So are you more comic book, anime, manga or video game?
