Construction on the new Comfort Station at Osterman Beach, AKA Hollywood Beach, is under way.
You may remember last September when I shared with you images of the new facility including renders of the building, layouts of the land and some of the final material choices they're going to use.
Well the ground has been broken and things are underway for what will hopefully be a grand opening on the first day of Beach Season (Memorial Day Weekend). Things are looking good as the foundation is getting laid.
The engineers have done an amazing job of placing the new facility within the confines of the existing topography and not removing any of the existing trees! Although the roads leading into the new space are a little rutted, due to the movement of heavy equipment, it seems as though they're doing their best to preserve the area. I just hope that they fix the roads/paths leading to the space after they move everything out - and then it will be better than it was before.
