Late last year, the Addams Family made it's world premiere at the Oriental Theater right here in Chicago and if you've been dying to Clandango Fango you just have to wait a bit longer.

The Addams Family opened to previews just last week - the verdict is still out on the show since it hasn't "officially opened on Broadway" yet but one review I found seemed to like it.  I wonder how much it's changed since it was here last year?  I know that I saw it shortly after it started previews here and I heard from friends that saw it later that a lot had changed.  It officially opens on April 8th.

Today Decca Broadway announced the official release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording to be available in June.  So you'll be able to dance along to the "Clandango," sing along with Uncle Fester as he flies to "The Moon and Me" and hear the angst in Wednesday's song "Pulled."

I know I can't wait because there's always room on my iPod for another Showtune album.

What's your favorite showtune album?

  • Oh that is a good soundtrack, I have the original on my iPod...and the John Doyle remake with Raul Esparza (which I got to see in NYC)
