The US Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD) is launching the first ever national study into discrimination against the GLBT community.
HUD is hosting a national 'listening tour' to hear from the LGBT community to include in a housing discrimination study that they are working on. It will give us a chance to voice our experiences from renting or purchasing homes and give us an opportunity to voice what should be included in the survey.
Assistant Secretary for Policy Development & Research, Raphael Bostic will be traveling to Chicago, New York and San Francisco hosting town hall meetings with members of the LGBT community in order to gather data relating to housing discrimination.
I know this is last minute, but the Chicago meeting is scheduled for today, at Chicago City Hall, Room 201A from 1PM-4PM, so if you're downtown please head down there and make your voices heard.
