Well, we've been waiting for it, and it's finally here, the Prop 8 Trial Re-enactments that the group has been promising.

If you haven't been following along, the case of Perry v. Schwarzenegger, the so-called "Prop 8 Trial" is being heard to potentially overturn Prop 8 and show that it's basis for passage was homophobia.

The case started January 11th and had some rough starts.  At first it was thought that the case would be video taped and broadcast - either on the air or via the web - based on a recently passed resolution to allow cameras in the courtroom.  But that didn't happen as the defense felt that airing the video of their expert witnesses would put them in harms way.  The Supreme Court jumped in and said that the issue of Prop 8 was too volatile to test this newly passed resolution.

The Courage Campaign has been doing an excellent job of providing daily updates to the trial and you can even download copies of the transcripts from each days proceedings. Then the group headed by John Ireland said that they would provide re-enactments of the trials and post to the web.  A while back they gave us a teaser of what was to come.

AFTER THE JUMP check out the full video, 1 hour and 7 minutes, of Day 1 of the Prop 8 Trial.

Be sure to check back often as I'll update when new videos are released
