The 28th Reeling Chicago Lesbian & Gay International Film Festival opens this week for 10 days of exciting movies!  It's not just all movies though, there's all sorts of parties as well.

For 10 days more than 150 LGBT films from around the world will be shown during 59 different screenings at four locations thorughout the city.  As well there are 33 narrative feature films, 10 programs of documentaries, 16 programs of shorts and 7 after-parties and panel discussions.  A film lovers paradise for sure.

Reeling goes out of its way to bring in the celebrities as well.  Just a few of the celebs scheduled for this year are: Mink Stole - who has appeared in everyone of of John Water's films, Jai Rodriguez from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and Jane Wiedlin from The Go-Go's.

In addition to the films you can hit the Opening Night Gala with a screening of The Big Gay Musical with an after-party at Architectural Artifacts, tix for both are only $35.

For a mid-week boost head to Jackhammer for the Riot Acts After Party after a screening of Riot Acts where director Madsen Minax will party the night away, tix to both are $15.

Sunday caps off the Film Festival with the closing party and a screening of Oy Vey! My Son is Gay!! along with director Evgeny Afineesvsky, tix to both are $35.

Most programs are priced at $10 per screening but you can also purchase 5-Pass Packs and 10-Pass Packs or go for the whole shebang with Festival Packages that cover all of the screenings.  Don't worry though, screenings before are only $8

I'll be posting the daily rundown of shows that are scheduled so check back every day to plan your screenings and make sure to check out the Reeling site for all the details.
