Is Lady Gaga intersex?

The interwebs is abuzz with the allegations that this years Pop Mistriss Lady GaGa has come out as an intersexed person.

The website Bossip is claiming that Lady GaGa actually "came out" and confirmed that she is actually a hermaphrodite, that she has both male and female genitalia.  Bossip claims (although there's not attribution, link or any other way to confirm it) that she said "It's not something that I'm ashamed of, just isn't something that I go around telling everyone. Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female. It's just a little bit of a penis and really doesn't interfere much with my life."  There's more to the quote, head on over there to check it out.

There's been several videos floating around the web trying to enhance the rumor that she is intersex by showing pictures of her adams apple, apparently huge "man hands" (remember that Seinfeld episode) and more so that her pop music is ripe for the gay community with it's hot, hippy pop beats!

More interestingly though, and I think more telling, is that her buddy Perez Hilton referred to her in a post as 'Lady Hermie Miz GaGa'...cou'ld it be true?  Perez is actually on tour in Japan with her right now and if HE made that reference then there's got to be some truth to it? Or is he just playing along with the game?

The picture attached to this article is from when she performed during Lollapalooza 2007 and she was a relatively unknown (and a brunette too), and all I can say that is - if she has a penis, she does a great job of hiding it! 

Is Lady GaGa an intersex performer?  What do you think?  Do you care?  Do you think it will hurt her or just make her all that more popular?

    I love this... I've always been fascinated by Lady Gaga haters because most of them have no good reason for feeling the way they do. I think it's because they initially thought she was a studio fabrication like Britney, Christina, etc. but once they realized she wrote her own songs, has an amazing voice when you strip the instrumentation away, plays the piano like a prodigy, and busted her ass to get where she is they had to put their feet in their mouths and turn to petty things like her appearance, etc. So high school. Glad she knows how to roll with the punches though.

    Nick - I agree with you. We saw her at the House of Blues earlier this year and she put on a hell of a performance.
