Ok, it's not the tony Awards and it's not the Oscars but the Emmy nominations were announced this morning at 5:40AM PDT (I can't believe that anyone in Hollywood gets up that early - they must have been up partying from the night before!).
This morning Chandra Wilson of ABC's Grey's Anatomy and Jim Parsons of CBS' Big Bang Theory announced the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards nominations, both live on TV and streamed live via the internet.
One of the big changes this year is that they increased the nomination field from 5 nominees to 6 to potentially help gather a bigger audience to this years program set for sunday, Septemeber 20th.  Apparently last year was the worst for total number of viewers and they want to turn things around by including more of your favorite TV programs.
