Jump on your bike and enjoy a Tour of Latin food this weekend

Do you like to ride your bike?  Do you like to eat?  Well not at the same time of course, that'd be a little dangerous. Do you enjoy experiencing new and exciting food?  Now you can combine those two passions on a Fork and the Road Tour.

I don't really know how to explain Fork and the Road Tours except that you pedal your way to different neighborhoods around the city and explore exciting new gastronomical adventures.

Last year the founders of Fork and the Road organized a bike ride where the participants rode thoughout the city trying to find the best Gelato.  So they organized a group of more than a a dozen friends and they visited 5 gelaterias on one day...and thus was born Fork and the Road.

That was just the start of it though.  They also created a Tour de France and a Tour of Tacos.  Now they're sharing all of their fun with everyone.

This year numerous tours have been created including:
- International BBQ
- Local Vegetarian Chicago
- Tour of Asia
- Tour of Latin America
- Unsung Chicago Classics

This coming weekend you can join in on the Tour of Latin America  where you'll ride approximately 18 miles on a journey that starts and ends at Pause Coffee Shop on Berwyn.  You'll have a chance to sample Salvadoran stuffed tortillas, Columbian Baked goods, Cuban flavors and more!

You will need to provide your own bike and helmet, but otherwise all tour packages include food and gratuities at all of the stops - all you need to do is pedal between them!

Tours are scheduled all summer, so head on over to Fork and the Road and see how you can tour the world on your bike.

What a perfect way to build up an appetite!
