Don't miss any of the Street Festivals going on this weekend

If you are out and about this weekend, then you need to head north to Andersonville and take in Midsommarft on North Clark Street on Saturday and Sunday.
I always consider Midsommarfst to be the official kick-off to summer, because I always have such a great time there and it sets the mood for the rest of the year. The Weathermen have been predicting clear skies this weekend, so let's keep our fingers crossed.
Midsommarfest always has a great lineup of entertainment including the amazing 16 Candles on Saturday Night, the Chicago Spirit Brigade on Sunday and those rifle twirling boys of the Chicago ROTC, head North young man (and you girls too)! Check out the full line up here.
Head on over to that amazing intersection of Irving Park/Lincoln/Damen for this years 10th Annual Ribfest Chicago that starts on Friday and runs through Sunday.
Ribfest claims that they will serve more than 65,000 pounds of ribs and who knows how many gallons of beer to go with those ribs.
They also have an impressive lineup of entertainment 'featuring 25 bands in 25 hours.' Stop over here for a full line up of entertainment and participating restaurants.  Go get your tummy full!

While you're out this weekend, make sure that you make some time for the Wells Street Art Festival running Saturday and Sunday on Wells St between North Avenue and Division Street.
This is one of the best art festivals in the city that attracts exhibitors and art enthusiasts from around the country.  You'll see some of the most amazing art on display and for sale that includes ceramics, oil paintings, fused glass, handmade jewelry as well as things you can only imagine.  The amount of talent that is showcased at this event is awe-inspiring.
Check here for a full line up of entertainment as well as other events scheduled during the two-day event.
