Participants in this years Ride for AIDS Chicago will bike 180 miles this weekend.

More than 100 bike riders and crew members will take to the roads this weekend as they trek on a 180 mile roundtrip ride from Evanston to Elkhorn, WI.  The riders and crew members have been training and fundraising for months to help raise money for About Face Theatre, AIDS Foundation of Chicago, BEHIV, South Side Help Center, Test Positive Aware Network, and Vital Bridges - all very worthwhile organizations.

It was just announced that opening ceremonies will take place on Saturday morning - June 6 - at 7AM on the east lawn of Northwestern University's Norris University Center as LeeAnn Trotter emcees the event.  The Chicago Spirit Brigade will be there to cheer on the riders and spectators and cast members from MidTangent Productions (those folks that produced Snow White and the Seven Drag Queens) will perform.

Closing ceremonies will be at 4:30 on Sunday, June 7th in the same location.

Several of my friends are participating in this spectacular event, be sure to head on over to Northwestern on Saturday morning to show your support.
