The writers are students at Hancock High School, a Chicago public school. Located on the Southwest Side, Hancock is a promising neighborhood school that earned a $6 million federal School Transformation Grant because of its significant progress. Approximately 1,000 students attend our school.
Our purpose here--to present responsible and engaging ideas from young people for all Chicagoans. And to challenge every negative stereotype that people have of CPS students at neighborhood high schools.
We invite you to read and tell us whatchoo got to say.
