Homemade Dog Treats

If you follow me on Twitter, you may know that my husband and I recently became furbaby parents.  Duke is an eight week old Weimaraner who loves to chew on just about anything he can get his paws on.

When he's not chewing on everything in sight, he's enjoying puppy lattes.  I've trained him well.

As much as puppy snuggles and his crazy antics warm my heart and soul, cooking for him is one of my favorite things to do for and with him.  I say with him because I show and tell tell him what I am doing throughout the whole process.  I know, he's spooled rotten but I just can't resist those baby blue eyes.  Here are a few easy and inexpensive homemade treats that the little guy has been loving.

Frozen halved carrots to soothe his gums.

1/2 Puppy 1/2 Bunny

Sweet potato chews

One sweet potato sliced into fries and baked low and slow at 175 for 3 hours.

Peanut Butter Froyo Cups

The Goods!

One cup of greek yogurt, combined with 1/4 cup peanut butter, frozen in cupcake molds.  These make pretty darn good people food as well.

All My Best,

Kate
