Nestled alongside the Illinois and Fox River is a place I call "home". A place where historic buildings, one-of-a-kind boutiques, and finger lickin' good restaurants are bountiful. If you haven't traveled to Ottawa, Illinois, now is the time to do it. While you are there be sure to check out one of my all time favorite
places to lick my fingersrestaurants, Tracy's Row House.
The warm wood floors, wrap around windows, and art clad walls set this charmer a step above the rest. Although they are always switching up the menu, there are a few things you can count on. Fresh, local ingredients coupled with Tracy and Lauren's heart and soul on each and every plate that flies out of the kitchen.
Don't worry the heart and soul doesn't end there, it carries right into the their long list of martinis and speciality drinks. My personal favorites being the oatmeal cookie martini and bloody mary.
So what are ya waiting for? Ottawa is conveniently located just minutes from Starved Rock so round up your friends and family, head out on a hike at Starved Rock and admire the beauty of fall, and fill your belly on the way home. Dogs welcome ;)
PS: This is the place I said Jane's reminded me of.
