Grub on the Moon

Well hello my fellow Chicagoans, its been a hot minute since I have made my way to over here.  With the chaos of tying up the last minute details of our wedding

And traveling to our honeymoon, I have been a little out of the loop.  Since my blog covers the obvious, food, I decided to share some eats from our trip to Vieques Island, Puerto Rico.

Breakfast consisted of your typical eats but instead of regular ol' bread everything was made with or on their Cuban bread

French Toast @ Cafe Mamasonga
Breakfast sandy @ W Cafe

This stuff was good.  Crisp and crunchy outside with a chewy center, yes please!

Lunch around the island rarely came in the form of an actual meal because we would fill up  on margaritas and poolside eats

There was also lot of ceviche and chips with guacamole eating going on too.  We made it our mission to hit the Sol Food truck for an actual lunch

Bob Marley sandwich(jerk chicken with pineapple guava relish) and a humongous brownie.  I think it may be my new life mission to hit every food truck I see.

The picture doesn't do the size of this thing justice.  Hope you enjoyed seeing some of our island eats! Stay tuned for dinners and desserts :)

Question:  What is the best thing you ate on your last vacation??

I was so happy to come across your blog when I googled the Sol Food truck...I'm Lisa we met you at the W at the bar, we were a group of a few friends from New York. Your wedding photo is beautiful-it was a pleasure to meet such sweet, happy newlyweds. Hope the rest of your trip was well! :) If you ever feel like reading I have a blog as well
