Have you heard about The Kindness Connection? It is a wonderful local organization providing hands-on community service experiences for kids and families. I am a big fan of their work. In fact, I am coordinating a service project for my kid's entire school with The Kindness Connection next week.
This wonderful organization has an upcoming fundraiser that I am involved in that I wanted to tell you about. For one night, The Kindness Connection is connecting some of Chicago’s most interesting female entrepreneurs (not sure that is how I would describe myself, but I am going to go with it) to those who are looking to take the entrepreneurial plunge.
On Thursday, February 27th from 7:00-9:45pm at The Music Institute of Chicago, Nichols Concert Hall (1490 Chicago Ave Evanston, IL 60201), aspiring entrepreneurs will be joined by the following panel members: Tiffany Kurtz of Flirty Cupcakes, Katherine McHenry of Building Blocks Toy Store, Stephanie King Myers of Bottle & Bottega, Marlo Hoffman of Psycho Baby, Leanne Kurtzweil of The Daily Method and me.
A $50 donation to The Kindness Connection buys entrance to a panel discussion with the entrepreneurs, followed by a cocktail session with networking opportunities and a silent action. Advanced registration is required at www.tkcbenefit.eventbrite.com. If you are thinking about starting or growing your small business, I invite you to join us!
