Language Stars opens its fifteenth Chicago-area location in the Andersonville neighborhood

Little ones + foreign language are a good combo. And Chicago families are about to get another first-rate resource for introducing kids to foreign language instruction. Language Stars, Chicago’s leading provider of early childhood foreign language education, opens its fifteenth Chicago-area location on January 20 at 4846 N. Clark St., Unit 100 in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago.

Language Stars, founded in Chicago by Leslie Lancry in 1998, is an full language-immersion program for children ages 1-12 that uses a proprietary play-based curriculum with a mix of games, songs, drama, stories, movement, cooking projects, arts and crafts, and more with a purposeful silliness that enables children to naturally and easily absorb new languages.

Language Stars’ unique approach also includes the exclusive use of native-speaking teachers, goal-setting and tracking for each student to ensure progress. Languages offered include Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, French, German and Italian.  The Andersonville location, with its five colorful classrooms and parental observation windows, will help to spread the positive impact of Language Stars programming to a wider audience of Chicagoans.

In honor of its opening day, the Language Stars Andersonville center will conduct a weeklong series of Grand Opening events including story time, art projects, games and more, culminating in the official Grand Opening party at the Andersonville Center on January 23 at 5:45 pm. The Grand Opening party will be a family-friendly event featuring entertainment by Little Miss Ann, a ribbon cutting ceremony, food, drinks and activities for the kids, raffle prizes and goodie bags. Other activities will be provided by event partners Cultural Care Au Pair and The Coffee Studio.

Language Stars is proud to be partnering for the grand opening event with Barrel of Monkeys, which teaches creative writing workshops to Chicago Public School students, and there is a suggested $5 donation to the organization at the door.
