School is cool (well, most of the time): Chicago kids speak out on what really goes down at school

School is cool (well, most of the time): Chicago kids speak out on what really goes down at school

Over the past year, I've been interviewing Chicago-area kids to find out what they think about everything from technology to green living to the violence and other social issues plaguing our city. These stories have been published as a series in Chicago Parent Magazine.

The final installment in this series is all about school. Do Chicago-area kids feel safe while they are at school? What is their favorite lunch? What would they do if they were in charge for the day?

Once again, I was totally impressed by the thoughtful things our kiddos had to say about what it is like to be a kid these days. You can read the whole story in the August issue of Chicago Parent Magazine.
