"PORK-a-pa-ZOO-la" comes to the Lincoln Park Zoo

"PORK-a-pa-ZOO-la" comes to the Lincoln Park Zoo
This one is for all you piggie lovers out there!
Come visit with Illinois Farm Families at Lincoln Park Zoo on Saturday, June 29, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at their "Pork-a-pa-Zoo-la" event!

In the Farm-in-the-Zoo area, your family will learn about farming -- everything from planting soybeans to raising pigs, while meeting farmers and participating in hands-on activities and games. Kids will receive a special map to solve a "farm to food" puzzle and earn a sticker for each station they visit. When they are done exploring, puzzle cards can be redeemed for a final surprise! There will also be more games and pork samples at the zoo's Main Mall.

Activities include:

  • Grow your own soybeans in a cup
  • Guess what pigs eat
  • Spin the Wheel of Pork trivia
  • Color farm pictures using crayons made from soybeans
  • Drive a semi-truck to deliver crops in a simulator game
  • Haul real soybeans with toy farm equipment

Sounds like a fun day down on the farm ..... uh... I mean zoo.
