You may not love Chicago winters. But I find that it is easier to embrace them rather than just spend December through March in a crabby funk each year.
Winter can be fun -- and beautiful. Yes. Really. It can.
My craft project for this month's issue of Chicago Parent magazine was inspired by my creative sister and her love of seasonal crafts (the girl has a project for every occasion).
Using just a few simple supplies (that you likely have around the house anyway), you can create pine cone snow owls as a homage to all that is good and fun about a Chicago winter (and we'll leave all of the things that are not so great about a Chicago winter for another post).
