I wanted to tell you about a fun event that I am a part of this Saturday, January 26. Join me at the babyGap on Sheffield at 11:00 for a special story time and shopping event!
This fun event for families is in honor of the new limited-edition collection for babyGap inspired by world famous author Beatrix Potter and her captivating children’s book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Drawing from Potter’s mischievous characters and magical adventures, the babyGap collection brings to life a modern interpretation of the enchanting world of Peter Rabbit through imaginative creations for girls and boys from newborn to 24 months.
In celebration of this classic tale's 110th anniversary, actress Emma Thompson wrote a sequel, The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit, which provided additional inspiration for the babyGap collection. Gap is hosting a special reading series for children and parents on January 26th at select babyGap stores around the country and I am happy to be the guest reader here in Chicago!
Join me on Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the babyGap Store on Sheffield (1740. N. Sheffield). I am going be reading Emma Thompson’s sequel, The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit. The kiddos can enjoy activities and snacks that bring the world of Peter Rabbit to life. And it is all FREE!
In addition, Gap has partnered with Milk + Bookies, a non-profit organization that encourages children to donate books to other children in need, to host in-store book drives where shoppers can donate their literary favorites for others to learn and enjoy. Please bring a book with you to donate. More information about the in-store events is available on Gap’s Facebook page.
See you Saturday? Let me know if you are planning to come by. I would love to meet you!
