There are many places to buy baby furnishings and gifts in the greater Chicago area. But they are not all created equal. I wish that I could go back and tell myself (as a first-time mom) to shop at Twinkle Twinkle Little One. I made many, many mistakes when I looking to outfit my nursery when I was expecting my daughter in 2004.
Rachel Glasson, owner of the two Chicago-area Twinkle Twinkle Little One locations would have been a great resource to me as I was investing large sums of money on very girly, babyish pieces of furniture and baby gear in anticipation of my daughter's arrival. Rachel and her staff would have been able to help me select items that would have been great in my baby's nursery but also could have easily transitioned to other rooms in my house once my babies outgrew them. She would have advised that I not buy everything in pink (because my future children may be boys -- which turned out to be the case). Bottom line: Rachel and her Twinkle Twinkle Little One staff can help you make smart choices in terms of nursery, registry and gift purchases. And they have a price point that will work for you.
These folks are a valuable resource. They wil help you make smart choices when it comes to baby gear. Rachel recently opened a second Twinkle Twinkle Little Once store in Roscoe Village at 2007 W. Belmont and she is having a party to celebrate the launch. The store features amazing custom options, furniture and personalized accents for Chicagoland kiddos. The store is visually stunning (and it includes a life-size tree and play area for little ones too). In case you missed that: There is a tree in the store. It is worth making the trip just to see this feature.
The Grand Opening party is taking place on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 6-10 p.m.. Join the Twinkle Twinkle Little One staff for a night of cocktails, mocktails, munchies and over $1,000 in giveaways. You are invited. Go check it out.
Twinkle Twinkle’s original store, located at 3224 North Damen, will continue operations and focus on hip kids’ clothes and accessories for both boys and girls, ages one to six, as well as grab-and-go gifts for all ages. The North Damen store will also offer a unique, handpicked selection of children’s toys.
