Are you going to the 2nd Annual Ladybug Bash to benefit Atia's Project Ladybug Fund?

Have you heard about Atia’s story? She is truly a remarkable little girl – with a remarkable mother who has dedicated herself to helping other families coping with childhood cancer.

Today marks the three-year anniversary of Atia’s Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) diagnosis. She was only 17 months-old at the time. {Can you imagine this?}

After undergoing over two years of aggressive daily chemotherapy treatment, Atia is now a happy and healthy four year-old in complete remission, enjoying life to its fullest (and that means plenty of preschool, gymnastics, ballet, jazz and soccer).

Atia’s mom Laura is the head of Atia’s Project Ladybug Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to easing the struggles of childhood cancer. The organization was founded by Dina Manzo, host of HGTV’s Dina’s Party and former star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. After Laura’s chance encounter with Dina in 2010, she launched the Chicago chapter at The University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital. This organization works tirelessly to raise funds to help other Chicago-area families facing down childhood cancer.On Thursday, May 17, 2012 Atia’s Project Ladybug Fund is hosting its 2nd Annual Ladybug Bash at Grossinger City Autoplex. This year’s theme is Stars and Cars. The event is a nod to Hollywood – both old and new. The event includes a strolling cocktail and food tasting showcasing Chicago’s top restaurants and culinary masters’ signature samplings, an amazing auction, a glamorous fashion presentation and exciting entertainment. Over 700 people are expected to attend.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the ongoing programs offered by Atia’s Project Ladybug Fund, including Emergency Funding to offset the cost of emergency transpiration, rent, groceries, utilities, and other basic necessities, Ladybug Love for the Holidays providing a series of gifts to the patients and their siblings, Ladybug Comfort Baskets, Ladybug Lunches and so much more.

Today marks the three-year anniversary of Atia’s Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) diagnosis. Today, I am joining with other bloggers to spread the word about this important fundraising event. Today, Laura’s goal is to sell 184 tickets to the event in honor of the 46 children who were diagnosed with cancer on April 17, 2010, April 17, 2011 & April 17, 2012.

The evening’s festivities will begin at 7pm at Grossinger City Autoplex, 1530 North Dayton St., Chicago, IL. General admission tickets for the 2nd Annual Ladybug Bash are available for $75.00 and VIP tickets for $125.00. Proceeds will benefit Atia’s Project Ladybug Fund at Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital. Tickets are available at http://ladybugbash.charityhappenings.org/

I am thrilled to join Laura and her family on May 17th at the 2nd Annual Ladybug Bash. Will you join me?
