A few weeks ago, I invested in a gigantic bag of cranberries from Costco. At the time, it seemed like a sensible idea. However, after making cranberry sauce, cranberry-orange scones, and cranberry bread, we are kind of done with the cranberries. However, I still have about four cups of them frozen in my freezer. What to do? What to do?
If you also overbought in the berry department (or if you are just looking for something fun to do with the kids), check out the story I wrote for Chicago Parent Magazine about ways you can use cranberries as a craft supply.
I am especially partial to the frozen cranberry wreath -- which would be a fun project if it stays below freezing for the next couple of days.
