How You Can Help Collect 100,000 Diapers (and get some exercise on a cold December morning)

I seem to always have diapers on my mind this time of year.

Last holiday season, I posted about local diaper drives and how this basic need seemed to go unnoticed. I hosted a play date lunch at my house (generously catering by Corner Bakery) and all of the guests brought packages of diapers to donate. This week, that same group of friends is hosting a similar playdate/diaper donation meet up. Such an easy (and fun) way to do your small part.

Here is the thing -- donating diapers is an easy thing to do. If you have little ones at home, you are likely stocking up on these basics every week any way. Put an extra package in your cart. It will feel good to know that you are helping another mama out.

Bundle of Joy Diaper Bank is currently on a mission to collect over 100,000 diapers in the month of December. That's a lot of diapers. You can help out with a package or two, right? Check out their Facebook Page for more info on the drive.

There are other ways you can help out too. My buddy Alison Ray is hosting a cool event with trainer Sara Haley next Sunday, December 19th to benefit Bundle of Joy Diaper Bank.

Chicago mamas are welcome to join trainer Sara Haley for
60 minutes of sweating & sculpting. All levels welcome. The event
is taking place on December 19th from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at All About
Dance (501 West North Avenue, Chicago). I'm going to be there. Space is
limited so RSVP soon if you are thinking about joining me. The class costs $15 and all proceeds benefit
Bundle of Joy Diaper Bank of Chicago. For more information, visit Alison's website.

Thinking about coming? Send me an email so
I can be on the look out for you and introduce myself.  In addition to
being a great event for a fabulous charity (PLUS a reason to get some
exercise on a cold Sunday morning), this is also going to be a good
place to meet and greet other cool Chicago mamas.

See you there?
