Kaleidoscope: A Family Day at the Art Institute of Chicago






On Saturday, August 21, families who arrive at the Art Institute between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. will receive free admission to the museum as part of the 5th annual Kaleidoscope: A Family Day event.

The day includes a range of activities offered by the Art Institute and other local family faves like The Chicago Children's Museum, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and The National Museum of Mexican Art.

Visitors are invited to drop into the Ryan Education Center (love, love, love this cozy spot) and other locations throughout the museum for a variety of special activities.

Scheduled events include:

Art Activity: Express Yourself!
Create a drawing with bold colors and expressive lines inspired by artwork in the Modern Wing.
Drop in between 10:00 and 3:00

Enjoy the wonder and beauty of classical West African music with songs from the famous national, regional, and private orchestras of post-independence Guinea, Mali, and Senegal.
