Mamas and papas, it is time to get your calendars out and put the ol' creative thinking caps on.
In just a few short weeks (or less), school is going to be over for the year and your children are going to be looking at you to keep them busy during the months of June, July and August.
The truth is that there are a ton of things to do around Chicago with kids this summer and many of them are totally free. You just have to know where to find them.
That's where I come in.
All next week, I am going to post about the very best, most fun places
and events that you need to know about for the summer. These
posts aren't going to be so much about specific events on specific days,
but rather the general resources that you should be tapping into to
make your own summer plans (with helpful calendar links and my personal
recommendations, of course).
As always, I am going to focus on
the great free options out there. You are paying ridiculous amounts of
money for all sorts of other things in the city, right? Might as well
take advantage of the great free stuff, I say.
And stay tuned for a big announcement coming after Memorial Day -- I am
going to be shaking things up around here a bit for the summer.
So I'll see you back here on Monday -- don't forget your calendar.
