So you think you've taken your kids to all of the best museums in Chicago? I bet you haven't. Have you been to the Smart Museum of Art yet? The Smart Museum of Art is located on the University of Chicago campus in Hyde Park. If you've never been before, this Sunday is the perfect time to check it out. The Smart Museum is hosting an event called Family Day: Naturally Inspired on Sunday May 2, 2010 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m..

Visitors (both big
and little) can celebrate the arrival of spring by making art
about,
and with, natural materials. Planned activities include a nature walk
with experts from the
Peggy
Notebaert Nature Museum
so kids can collect objects to use in their
own artistic
creations. Little museum-goers will also have a chance to sketch and
photograph natural scenes outside and write poetry.

The Smart Museum of
Art is located at
5550 S. Greenwood Avenue. All
ages are welcome at Family Day, but the activities are designed for
children 4-12. Children
must be accompanied by an adult. As always, admission is free.
