First, hockey came to Wrigley Field. And now public ice skating makes its debut at The Friendly Confines.
The new
owners of the Cubs have set up a full-size skating rink on the Cubs parking lot at
the corner of Clark and Addison. The Rink at Wrigley promises to bring family-friendly fun to the ballpark in the off-season.
Admission to The Rink at Wrigley will be $10 per adult, $6
per child. Skate rentals will be
available for an additional fee. The rink will open to the public on December 15, 2009 and remain open through February 2010.
Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday until 10:00 p.m. and Friday and
Saturday until 11:00 p.m. Levy Restaurants will offer refreshments. A Grand
Opening celebration is planned for Saturday, December 19, 2009, at 11:00 a.m.
