I wanted to tell you about yet another great winter break activity for the kiddos -- LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Schaumburg. LEGOLAND Discovery Center is a
two-story LEGO-themed play land with a dozen theme park-style attractions designed for
children age 2 through 12.
During the holidays, kids can build a mini LEGO Santa Claus or a mini LEGO snowman in a Model Builder Workshop sessions. Of course, visitors also have access to all of the regular exhibits and activities including a jungle trail populated with LEGO animals, larger-than-life LEGO superheroes in the facility's Hall of Fame, and a miniature LEGO version of Chicago's skyline. Visitos can take advantage of the LEGO
Factory Tour to learn how LEGO bricks are made and build to their
heart's content in the center's 'Build & Test'
area. Your little LEGO-lovers can even take a Dragon Ride through a LEGO castle full of surprises or see LEGO creatures brought to life in two 4D movies.
If you haven't been to LEGOLAND before, now is a great time to go. Where else are you going to see Santa, his elves, Frosty the Snowman and a Christmas tree built out
of tens of thousands of LEGOS? Admission is half-price December 1-24 if you bring in 10 LEGO
bricks for charity.
