Happy weekend Chicago! It's been a long week for this busy and tired mama. Whew. I am looking forward to a lazy Saturday morning eating pancakes in our pj's -- followed by some time spent together outdoors.
If you are looking to fill your weekend with fun family activities, I've got a few ideas for you.
The Annual Chinatown Bazaar. Have you ever taken your kids to Chinatown? This vibrant and interesting neighborhood has lots to offer little ones. On Saturday, October 3, the St. Therese Chinatown School is hosting an event for families. Attendees can sample Asian cuisine and check out rides and games. Wee Windy City readers get a $5.00 discount by using the code "weewindycity" when they order tickets through EventBrite. Those purchasing tickets at the event can get the same $5.00 discount simply by mentioning "weewindycity."
Free Yoga Class for Kids. As part of the Bucktown Fitness Fest, Lululemon Bucktown is offering several free classes -- including a Hip Hop Yoga for Kids class. The 45-minute class will take place in the adjacent parking lot at 11:00 a.m.
Harvest Days at the Lincoln Park Zoo. We made lots of visits to the Farm-in-the-Zoo this summer. We watched piglets grow bigger and tomato plants in the Edible Garden nearly topple over with fruit ready to be picked. This small space has a ton to offer kids. This weekend is the Harvest Days event where kids can decorate pumpkins and make crafts. The event takes place on both Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Visit the website for more information.
Now here's hoping the rain holds off so we all can actually get out and take advantage of these events! I'll be back Monday with a review of a new art space for kids, a great resource for families living in the 'burbs, and more.

Love that tree pose!
