In recognition of National Child Health Month, Andersonville art-based counseling center art & soul has partnered with the Chicago Children's Museum to highlight the social and emotional benefits of art for children.
was at the Children's Museum this morning and saw the display featuring
artwork from kids ages 1 through 15. I admire this project and
whole-heartedly believe in the value of artmaking for all children.
conjunction with this exhibit, art & soul is hosting a special
event that I want to tell you about (because it is worthwhile and also free).
On Thursday, October 22 (when
admission to the Children's Museum is free), your little ones can
participate in hands-on artmaking themselves from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.
The exhibit runs through October 23 so stop by the third floor (across from the dinosaur dig site) to take a look.
