Bring your Babes to Blogapalooza

On Thursday, September 24, ChicagoNow and the 900 North Michigan Shops are joining together for an event called Blogapalooza.

Bloga what? Why is she telling me this? What is she talking about? Must be some geeky blogger version of Lollapalooza. This doesn't sound family-friendly. I came to this blog to find out about the best parks in town -- not some crazy blogging festival.

Stick with me for a minute here. Blogapalooza isn't a weird blogging event. I swear. It is more like a meet-and-greet combined with a chance to eat, drink and chill out at the 900 North Michigan Shops on a Thursday night. I am going to be the featured blogger in the Kid's Korner -- which I assure you, is definitely going to be kid-friendly.

Bring your kiddies down for face painting and a scavenger hunt sponsored by Oilily, Mini Me, Preggers and Galt Toys. I am going to have cookies from Potbelly's (for the kids, but maybe for you too). I am also going to be sharing my top five family must-do events for fall.

Plus, I am giving away free passes to Day Frog, a great indoor play space in the Streeterville neighborhood (trust me, you are going to want these when winter blows into town in a few weeks).

But enough about me and your kids. Let's talk about what Blogapalooza has to offer YOU.

At this event, you can enter to win a style make-over courtesy of Bloomingdales and Styled in Chicago. Then maybe hop over to Williams-Sonoma to sample food prepared by Sarah Stegner of Prairie Chefs. Send your husband over to Mark Shale to have a drink, get a shoe shine and talk sports while you mingle with socialite Candace Jordan of Candid Candace. Alpana Singh will be hosting a wine tasting. Maya Henderson will be talking yoga at Lululemon. And there is more -- lots more.

We're talking good times here. And it's all free. Plus, validated parking in the 900 N. Michigan garage is only $6 for those who enter after 4:00 pm. Sounds pretty good, right? Things kick off at 5:00 and it runs until 7:00 pm. Learn more about the event here. And don't forget to RSVP here so I know you'll be there.
