Looking for something out-of-the ordinary to do with the kiddos this weekend? Here are a few good bets -- and each activity is totally free.
See Little Miss Ann in concert at the Land of Nod. Stop by the Land of Nod store at North and Clybourn for a free concert on Sunday at 1:00 pm. Little Miss Ann puts on a cute show that the kiddies will love. And good luck trying to get out of Land of Nod without actually buying anything.
Build a replica of the Willis Tower. The fabulous Science Chicago program is holding its final Labfest! event
at Millennium Park on Friday, August 21 from 11:00-3:00. Kids can build
a fifteen foot replica of the newly renamed Willis Tower alongside a
LEGO master. Check out the official website for a full list of activities.
See The Selfish Giant in Millennium Park. On
Sunday at noon, swing by Millennium Park to catch the Chicago
Children's Theater performing The Selfish Giant. This acclaimed show
uses puppets and folk music to tell the tale of what happens when the
selfish Giant bans children from his garden. This is a great theater
