- Gallery 1028, located on Goose Island, borrows a unique aesthetic and flair from the island’s heritage. Loft-like, with vaulted ceiling, exposed brick, skylights, as well as wood beams and floors, Gallery 1028 occupies 4,000 sq. ft and offers two- separate rooms plus two-separate foyers attached to each of the two rooms. I am always being asked from friends, colleagues as well as strangers by way of email or social media if I have any suggestions for a venue to host their wedding, reception or birthday party. I decided to create a montage of my favorite venues (large and small) that are available to host wedding receptions, social events, fashion shows, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners or simply a private dinner.
What will be included in this montage of Chicago venues are hotels, loft spaces, art galleries and restaurants. I chose these venues based on events I may have planned at a particular venue, networking events I may have attended or an open house I was invited to. Actually, I love them all.
Of course there are many more venues to explore in Chicago. However, these are the ones I chose for 2013.
