Engagement Ideas

Now that Thanksgiving is over and Christmas and New Years Eve are right around the corner, I thought I would share some engagement ideas to the guys who may need some help on how to propose to the woman they love.

Below is a list of some of some of the most romantic engagement ideas that I found on www.engagementideas.org

Take a look and choose the one that you think your significant other would love the most!

1. If you know your significant other is going to be somewhere at a certain time or if she is going to be listening to the radio at a specific time, then try to have an ad or billboard with your proposal written on it. Then, try to be around with the ring in hand in person. To be more specific this could range from having your proposal announced aloud on a radio station to having a nice romantic dinner and walk on the beach with an orchestra playing and then a plane flying above with a banner proposing.

2. Two words - scavenger hunt. Have it all planned and set up before your girlfriend gets home from school or work. Have a note at the front door - or you could even leave a note with her secretary at work - that will direct her on what to do next. You can have the scavenger hunt only go through areas of the home or you can have her go all over town. All destinations for the scavenger hunt should be related to your relationship, where you had your first kiss, where you knew you fell in love, your first date, etc . The last destination should be you holding a ring your hand waiting to propose.

3. Another great engagement idea is to write her a poem. Place the poem in a bottle (Message in a Bottle!) and have it placed beneath the sand on the beach. Have a nice romantic day/evening at the beach playing in the water, building sand castles, etc. Once you start digging in the sand, make sure she is near the bottle so she can dig it up and you can ask for her hand.

4. If you know that the answer will be yes, arrange for a romantic candlelit restaurant dinner. Take her out to the nicest restaurant. Wait until after you have had your entre and your desert is either on its way or it has just arrived. Get down on one knee and propose, then after she has said yes you can both enjoy your dessert together and celebrate with a glass of wine.

Hopefully, one of the above romantic engagement ideas will sweep your honey right off her feet and she'll immediately say yes when you ask her to marry you.
