I don't procrastinate as I now realize, practice and teach my kids one of my favorite quotes.
"Worrying today does not take away tomorrow's troubles, it takes away today's peace."
There is less stress in my life when I get the job, act or responsibility done. Then I'm satisfied, productive and lighter without it looming over my head.
I really don't procrastinate, except for these three things that I need to do tomorrow.
- Call my insurance company (can you think of anything more painful?)
- Make an appointment for a mammogram (again not comfortable).
- Write the book I've been thinking about for 20 years (simply overwhelming).
I asked my 11-year-old sitting next to me if he procrastinates and with little thought quickly responded.
"When I look at my phone, I procrastinate doing anything else."
I guess we all procrastinate doing something! What are your few things?
