Last night my sister and I practiced yoga on a rooftop as the sunset over Chicago's beautiful skyline. The weather was ideal and a DJ accompanied us as we flowed; yet it was silent.
When we arrived, we were handed a set of wireless glowing LED headphones and it surprised me how much they could change and affect my practice.
The teacher's voice smoothly filled our ears at the volume we wanted. What I hadn't considered was how we also couldn't hear anyone or anything else. This limited distractions, let inhibitions go and allowed us to explore making noise while breathing, humming, jumping and moving in away that was personal.
If you are in Chicago and want to give it a try, here is more information.
Have you done yoga with headphones? Do you want to try it?
